Culver Cup Champs Midget Majors CSDHL

The Midget Majors CSDHL travel to Culver, Indiana to compete in the Culver Cup Tourney.

The Chargers take on #1 ranked Shatucks in the first game and blow a 3-0 lead and lose in the last 3 minutes of the game. The boys quickly regroup and take on the #1 ranked Indiana team Culver Varsity, and win big with a 6-1 score that later puts them in the position to go to the championship game with a 3-way tie in their division.

In the championship game they take on the undefeated Gilmore team and are down 4-2 and come back to a 4-4 tie with a little over 1 minute left. Within the first 2 minutes of overtime the Chargers score to win the game and the championship.

Midgets Mentor the Mites in Chargers Big Brother Program

For the second year, the Northwest Chargers have given the Mite players a big brother or sister. Players from our Mite teams have been paired up with a player from our Midget teams. During the season Midget players will attend practice sessions of thier little brothers, commonly know as the "littles". You will also see the littles at their big brothers games, also known as the "bigs". As the season goes on, the relationship grows. Our hope, is that a relationship between the players will last as the Mite player moves through the organization and the Midget players graduate to a life beyond the Chargers. This season we are able to pair Sofia Farias with Maddie Morgan from one of our Bantam teams. The Mites have been very proud to walk around the rink and point out to someone and say, "That is my Big Brother". As an organization we are very pleased how the Midgets are great role models to the "littles" within the Chargers.
