Board of Directors’ Meeting
December 10, 2007
Regular Meeting Minutes
The regular meeting of
the Northwest Chargers Hockey Association was called to
order at 6:45pm. Present at the meeting where Linda
Becker, Fuss Fitton, Melba Hartman, Scott Larsen, David
Miller, Lori Sall, Chris Sciortino, Mike Silenzi, and
Jim Zeman. Not in attendance was Doug Grupe and Tom
Rittondale. Also in attendance were Pat Smith and Ken
Smith.
Old Business: The minutes
of the regular meeting held on November 12, 2007 where
unanimously approved.
Hockey Director: Pat
mentioned the A-2 program has begun.
Communications: Mike
noted that Jerry’s would like a list of all of the
Charger Family e-mail in order to solicit jacket sales
at Jerry’s. The board approved Jerry’s to prepare a sale
flyer that can be distributed in all of the team
mailboxes.
Equipment: Dave indicated that the additional jersey
order had been received.
Fund Raising: Chris had
no additional information to report
League: Scott Larson did
report on the NIHL tournament. The Chargers have bids
out to host either the Squirt Bronze of Bantam Silver
NIHL tournament. Scott was asked if the Chargers would
be interested in hosting a Midget tournament. The board
all agreed that it would be very difficult to obtain
enough volunteer’s to host the Midget tournament. NIHL
A-2 has 15-minor teams and 22-major teams for the
upcoming season.
Registrar: Lori reported
that A-2 team tryouts where help on December1st. Final
A-2 team count is due by December 12th.
Rules & Ethics: Jim had
no additional information to report.
Scheduler: Ken had no
additional information to report.
Tournament: Doug was not
present at the meeting to report on any new league
business.
Treasurer: Russ had no
additional information to report.
New Business:
A discussion was started regarding the Scholarship
payment to Joe Carcerano. Linda will be contacting the
Carcerano family to discuss necessary information that
is needed in order to the Chargers to disburse the
scholarship to Joe.
Our next board meeting will be our holiday dinner and
will be held on January 14th. The meeting adjourned at
7:15pm.
